The deadline for Day Procedure Centres licensing is 30 April 2020: let’s go through the paperwork together.

We would like to draw your attention to some of the CHP protocols which were updated in the last few days.

The Prevention and Control of Disease (Disclosure of Information) Regulation (Cap. 599D) came into operation in Hong Kong on 8 February 2020.

All Day Procedure Centres (DPCs) are required to be licensed and there are NO exemption arrangements for DPCs.

In November, the Medical Protection Society released the following statement regarding MPS indemnity and representation for Chief Medical Executives (CMEs) appointed under the Private Healthcare Facilities Ordinance:

The Department of Health (DH) is organising another round of briefing sessions on the Private Healthcare Facilities Ordinance (PHFO), with content equivalent to the first round in August and September 2019.

On 9 August 2019, the Director of Health issued the Code of Practice for Day Procedure Centres (CoP for DPCs) to provide standards for all DPCs licensed under the Private Healthcare Facilities Ordinance*.

The government’s Office for Regulation of Private Healthcare Facilities is inviting doctors, dentists, and operators to six briefing sessions organised by the Department of Health in venues across the city, starting August 2019.
